Regarding the W3C part we have weekly and bi-monthly teleconferences with our American Japanese and European colleagues. Of course those meetings are in English

and are sometimes quite funny since all the nationalities are represented with different accents.

The W3C Global team meeting is a teleconference where all the employees of W3C gather weekly to discuss W3C wide issues, technical or not.

The W3C Europe meeting is a physical meeting with teleconference support where all the European staff of W3C discusses European related issues.

Both last one hour.

As being part of the W3C Finance task group we also have regular calls to talk about the European budget with the american finance people.

To prepare those calls we work by e-mail in English . I then have to explain every amount, why they changed …

Regarding the Ercim part I attend finance meetings, Executive Committee meetings and soon Board of Directors meetings.

The finance task group: proposes subscription and seeks sources of funding, suggests the business plan for 5 years and budget, monitors the accounts and assures auditing
The group reports to ERCIM's
Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee implements the grouping’s objectives and and activities

The Board of Directors decides on the grouping’s objectives and and activities
